When we needed help finding our "forever" home, Jodi knocked it out of the park. We had a general sense of what we were looking for, but we hadn't done a ton of research and were not overly familiar with the area. Jodi very quickly honed in on the specific neighborhoods and types of homes that aligned with our vision and our priorities as a growing family. She seemed to understand what we wanted almost immediately and helped us focus our search in a way that saved us a lot of time and energy, filtering out homes that simply weren't worth our time. We were finally ready to downsize from the large family home we had built and loved for over 34 years to something smaller and more suitable to our needs. To say we had no idea where to begin would be an understatement. I contacted Jodi Reineberg from Berkshire Hathaway after a friend highly recommended her, and I'm so glad I did! It was an absolute pleasure to work with her on this adventure. Jodi was a wealth of information on how to get the process started and what we had to do to get our home on the market. Downsizing isn't for the faint of heart, but we survived. Luckily, we were able to buy our next home before having to sell our house, which took some of the pressure off. And, in this crazy housing market, her expertise was invaluable. We sold our home in one weekend. She is very knowledgeable about real estate with years of experience, and it shows. It was very important to her that we understood the process and complex contract details, and she was very patient with all the many questions we had. She answered all our calls, texts, and emails promptly and kept us well-informed with any new information. If you're looking for an agent who understands the local markets, we highly recommend Jodi. She understood the differences between the housing market in York (where we sold) and the market in Lancaster (where we bought). She also understood that a perfect house for us had just gone on the market on a Thursday evening, with an open house on that Saturday, was going to be a hot property. She drove 74 miles from Maryland to get us into that house on Friday afternoon. We loved it. Besides being smart and very knowledgeable, Jodi is not afraid. to get her hands dirty. She followed my husband down the crawl space to check out the furnace. She suggested going to the open house to make sure we wanted to put an offer in. We did, and we got it! Ultimately, the final decision when negotiating a contract to buy or sell a house is ours and ours alone, but Jodi discussed all our options and the pros and cons of each. Stressful, yes, but we felt Jodi had our back, and she always gave us sound advice.
